Blugold Marching Band to give stage show Nov. 3
in Zorn Arena

Blugold Marching BandEAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Marching Band, one of the most active marching bands in the upper Midwest, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 in Zorn Arena.

This special stage performance will include a celebration of Blugold traditions. The performance will feature "Get Your Groove On: Music You Can Dance To," with songs including "Love Rollercoaster," "Shout," "Play that Funky Music" and a Kool and the Gang collection. The performance also will feature classic rock hits and songs in honor of America.

The Blugold Marching Band is directed by Randal Dickerson, associate professor of music.

Each year the marching band performs at home football games, three contest exhibitions and other performances, including the annual stage show. Recent performances have included two NFL games, a weekend trip to Chicago and a performance tour of Italy and Greece.

With 232 student members, the Blugold Marching Band is America's largest NCAA Division III marching band.
