Biologist to discuss fish habitats during 'Let's Do Lunch!' presentation

Let's Do Lunch postcardEAU CLAIRE — A University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire biologist will discuss his field research on fish habitats in the lower Chippewa River during an Oct. 28 "Let's Do Lunch!" presentation hosted by the UW-Eau Claire Alumni Association.

Dr. David Lonzarich, professor of biology, will present "Linking Channel Stability and Fish Habitat in the Lower Chippewa River" from noon-1 p.m. at Sweetwaters Restaurant in Eau Claire. He will discuss the Chippewa River, which is remarkable not only for its natural beauty, but also for its diverse physical form and abundant fish life.

Lonzarich's research on fish biology has taken him to rivers, lakes, estuaries and coral reefs throughout the United States and the Bahamas. For more information about the presentation or his research, contact Lonzarich at lonzard@uwec.edu or 715-836-3260.

"Let's Do Lunch!" presentations will not be held in November or December, but will resume Jan. 27, 2010.
