Students invited to share gruesome love stories in McIntyre Library contest

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students are invited to share ghastly love or dating stories for McIntyre Library's "Getting a Stake Through Your Heart" Halloween contest, which runs through Oct. 30.

Contest participants may write about a scary date, a break-up that went terribly wrong, an embarrassing rejection or any other love-related experience, along with an explanation of why the story is worthy of a $50 gift certificate to a local restaurant. Smaller prizes will be awarded to runners up.

Contest rules and details can be found online or by searching Facebook groups for "Getting a Stake Through Your Heart." Winners will be notified by Nov. 3 and must claim their prizes by 4 p.m. Nov. 9.
