EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire student Rylee Engum, Stevens Point, has been awarded the Virginia Allen James and Paul L. James Scholarship for the 2009-10 academic year.
Established through the estate of Virginia Allen James, a 1938 UW-Eau Claire graduate who enjoyed a long career as a teacher, the scholarship will be awarded annually to an incoming freshman from Wisconsin who shows great potential for success in his or her chosen field and demonstrates financial need. It is renewable for the sophomore year if the recipient maintains good academic progress.
