RELEASED: Nov. 19, 2009
EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire forensics team traveled to Bloomington, Minn., to compete in the second Twin Cities Forensic League tournament Nov. 17 at Normandale Community College. The team placed second overall.
Individual results for TCFL 2 are as follows:
Senior Jake Johnson, Eau Claire, placed first in extemporaneous speaking and qualified to complete in the American Forensic Association tournament in that event. Johnson also placed second in impromptu speaking.
Freshman Megan McKeown, Eagan, Minn., placed first in poetry and qualified to compete in the National Forensic Association tournament in that event. McKeown also placed first in prose.
Junior Kindra Kressin, Champion, Neb., placed second in poetry and fifth in prose. Kressin qualified for NFA in both events.
Sophomore Diane Stewart, St. Paul Park, Minn., placed third in extemporaneous speaking and persuasion. Stewart qualified for NFA in both events.
Sophomore Natalie Hunter, Vadnais Heights, Minn., placed third in dramatic interpretation and qualified for NFA in that event.
