for the week of Nov. 23

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Nov. 23. All events are free and open to the public.

Monday, Nov. 23:

• The UW-Eau Claire Oboe Studio will present "Oboe Alone: An Evening of Solo Oboe Music" at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The Oboe Studio of Dr. Christa Garvey, associate professor of music, is composed of eight students performing solo pieces with selections by Gordon Jacob; Ivar Lunde Jr., professor emeritus of music; Benjamin Britten; Vincent Persichetti; and Ruth Crawford Seeger.

Tuesday, Nov. 24:

• Senior soprano Erin Kenneavy, Appleton, will present a voice recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
