EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has announced two administrative appointments.

Dr. Marty Wood, interim provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, has been named dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
Dr. Michael Wick, professor of computer science and director of the first year experience program, has been named the university's associate vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean of graduate studies.
Both will begin serving two-year terms in their respective positions July 1.
Wood will replace Dr. Donald Christian, who has accepted the position of provost and vice president for academic affairs at State University of New York at New Paltz.
Wood joined the English faculty in 1986 and served as the English department chair from 1998-2007. In 2007, he was elected chair of the University Senate, a position he held until being named interim provost in September 2008.
Wick will replace Dr. Andrew Phillips, who will become academic dean and provost at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.
Wick, who joined the computer science faculty in 1991, served as the department chair from 2004-2009. He also has served on the University Senate, on UW System committees for tenure appeal and compensation, and on numerous campus committees.
