EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Clean Commute Initiative invites all students, faculty and staff to ride their bicycles to campus during Bike to Work Week, May 11-15.

The event is sponsored by CCI, a group of university community members promoting increased commuting to and from campus by foot, bicycle and bus. Commuting bikers are encouraged to register their miles on the Wisconsin Bicycle Federation Web page.

Students, faculty and staff also are encouraged to stop by CCI's informational table from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. May 12 on UW-Eau Claire's Central Campus Mall, where they can sign the Clean Commute Petition and find out more about clean commuting.

The Eau Claire City Council will proclaim May 11-15 Bike to Work Week during its May 12 meeting, and other Bike to Work Week events will occur around the city during the week.
