EAU CLAIRE — The Eau Claire Jazz Festivalwill host a number of jazz related events preceding the Eau Claire Jazz Festival weekend, April 2-5, including the preschool educational music and art series "Jump, Jive and Read!"
All events are free and open to the public.
"Jump, Jive and Read," will begin at 6:30 p.m. March 31 and at 10:30 a.m. April 2 in the Eau Claire Room of the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library.
Preschoolers and parents can enjoy a reading of children's jazz books while live music is performed by UW-Eau Claire jazz musicians. A take-home art project also will be provided.
This series is made possible through the collaboration of L.E. Phillips Memorial Library, the Eau Claire Area School District Early Learning Program, UW-Eau Claire Jazz Studies and the Eau Claire Jazz Festival.
