UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education Announces
Summer Music Camps

EAU CLAIRE — The UW-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will offer two music camps this summer for high school students.

Total Percussion Camp will be held June 8-12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Haas Fine Arts Center on campus. All classes will be taught by Dr. Jeffrey Crowell, associate professor of music and the wind division coordinator at UW-Eau Claire. Registration is open to all students entering grades 8 through 12.

Total Percussion Camp will offer both instruction and performance in all areas of percussion including mallet, drum set, timpani, concert, marching and world percussion. All equipment will be provided, including drums, sticks and mallets, or students may bring their own if they have them. Camp tuition is $149 per student.

Clearwater Musical Theatre Camp will be held July 12-17 on the UW-Eau Claire campus. This weeklong residential/commuter camp offers daily dance classes, scene work, acting study, voice performance classes and special topics workshops. The week ends with a musical theatre performance for family and friends. Registration is open to all students entering grades 9 through 12.

All Clearwater Musical Theatre Camp classes are taught or supervised by UW-Eau Claire music and theatre arts faculty. The camp cost is $525 for residential students and $325 for commuters. Scholarships are available to Wisconsin residents with demonstrated financial need.
