Student Dance Organization to Offer Workshop to Prepare for Viennese Ball

RELEASED: March 13, 2009

EAU CLAIRE — Two to Tango, a student dance organization at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, will offer a Viennese Ball dance workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 4 at the L. E. Phillips Senior Center in Eau Claire.

The workshop will help patrons brush up on or develop their ballroom dancing skills before the 35th Annual Viennese Ball, set for April 17 and 18 at UW-Eau Claire.

Tickets for the workshop are $20 per couple for Two to Tango members and $25 for non-members. Students, faculty and community members are invited to attend.

This is the fifth year Two to Tango will host the workshop.

Instructors from the group will teach the Viennese waltz, the polka, beginner and advanced swing, the tango, and the foxtrot. No dance experience or special shoes are required, but participants must have a partner.

Registration forms are available at the University Service Center or online at the Two to Tango Web site.
