Asian American Cultural Extravaganza is
New Event on UW-Eau Claire Campus

EAU CLAIRE — Three student organizations at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are teaming up to produce a new cultural experience on campus.

The UW-Eau Claire Student Senate, Hmong Student Association and Residence Hall Association will host the Asian American Cultural Extravaganza from 7-9 p.m. March 26 in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center.

In conjunction with Asian Heritage Month, the event is intended to educate participants about the culture of Asia and the many forms of beauty from different parts of the continent, said Student Senate representative Adam Sorelle.

Activities will include an Asian-themed fashion show, cultural dances, poetry readings and musical performances. There will be a buffet-style dinner featuring food from different Asian countries.

All events are free and open to the public.
