Billy Krause Trio |
EAU CLAIRE — A performance by the Billy Krause Trio will highlight the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Summer Events series for the week of June 29. The free show will begin at 7 p.m. Monday on the Central Campus Mall (rain site: The Cabin of Davies Center). The audience is invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic. Free popcorn will be available.
Whether it be with the gravel-in-the-can holler of boogie-woogie or the soft croon of a ballad, singer/songwriter Billy Krause has been entertaining audiences throughout the Midwest with his own brand of folk music. His songs tell tales of broken hearts and newfound love, and in the same breath can bring the darker side of human nature to light. Joined by his band, Krause promises an evening of complete entertainment.
The Summer Events series will also present the Fresh Start Farmers Mart from 7:30-11:30 a.m. July 2 on the Central Campus Mall, weather permitting.
There will be no Summer Sounds classical series July 5 due to the holiday weekend.
With the theme "Welcome to our Backyard," the Summer Events series continues through July 30. A complete schedule is available at the Service Center, 715-836-3727, or online.
The eight-week series is funded by the students of UW-Eau Claire and coordinated by the University Centers.
