SUBJECT: Nanotechnology News Conference

A news conference announcing the formation of a groundbreaking public-private partnership to provide nanoscale research, product development and manufacturing in the Chippewa Valley will be held Wednesday, June 3, at 11 a.m. in Room 117 of Phillips Science Hall at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Speakers at the news conference will include:

Frank Bucheger, general manager, Resonant Microsystems, Inc.
Brian Levin-Stankevich, chancellor, UW-Eau Claire
Bruce Barker, president, Chippewa Valley Technical College
Forrest Schultz, chemistry department chair, UW-Stout
Mickey Judkins, Wisconsin Department of Commerce

Resonant Microsystems, Inc. will discuss the start-up of its new manufacturing facility in the Chippewa Valley that was realized through collaborations with higher education institutions, federal and state lawmakers, and regional business and economic development entities.
