EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the Eau Claire Transit Co. will increase bus service to UW-Eau Claire this winter as more members of the campus community opt for public transportation in an effort to reduce the university's carbon footprint.
Between Jan. 26 and March 13, four buses will serve the university, providing 10-minute service throughout the day.
After Spring Break, the university routes will return to three buses with 20-minute service throughout the day. The new schedule will be effective March 23.
In spring 2008, UW-Eau Claire's Student Senate initiated and overwhelmingly passed a resolution to increase the service of Route 9 from the end of January to the middle of March.
The new bus schedule for Route 9 is available online.
