Majors and Student Services Fair to Be
Held March 6 and Again March 27

RELEASED: Feb. 20, 2009

EAU CLAIRE — Two events formerly separate have been brought together in the new Majors and Student Services Fair to be offered from noon-1:30 p.m. March 6 in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The fair offers a relaxed atmosphere where students can speak to department faculty, staff and students representing UW-Eau Claire's majors, minors and pre-professional programs. Students learn about academic areas of study and career-related options.

Representatives from Student Services departments also will be available to describe the full range of services offered to students. Academic Advising, Testing and Orientation; Career Services; the Center for International Education; the Center for Service-Learning; the National Student Exchange Program; Student Health Services; University Recreation; Housing and Residence Life and more will be represented at the fair.

All current students are invited and encouraged to attend.

The fair also welcomes high school juniors and seniors participating in campus visits, as well as students who are interested in transferring to UW-Eau Claire from two-year UW campuses and technical colleges in western Wisconsin.

The Majors and Student Services Fair is sponsored by UW-Eau Claire's Admissions Office. The Campus Ambassadors will serve free popcorn.

For students unable to attend the March 6 fair, a similar event will be offered at the same time and location on March 27.

For more information, contact admissions counselor Jason Mathwig at 715-836-3235 or mathwijm@uwec.edu.
