Still Time to Register for Human Resources Management Workshops

EAU CLAIRE — Registration is still available in four human resources management workshops for small business owners, managers and human resource professionals.

A forum to discuss HR issues and best practices, the workshops are sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Small Business Development Center and the office of Continuing Education.

  • "HR and a Motivated Workforce," 8:30 a.m.-noon, March 3. Discover how HR managers influence information flow, impact employee satisfaction and add value to the company.
  • "Top 10 Most Common HR Mistakes (and how to avoid them!)," 1-4:30 p.m., March 3. Reduce risk of incurring legal action and avoid unnecessary litigation by reviewing HR laws that affect the workplace.
  • "Creating a Culture of Civility," 8:30 a.m.-noon, March 24. Respond constructively to hostile, intimidating or demeaning behaviors by people in the workplace and prevent escalation to harassment.
  • "Writing Your Employee Handbook," 1-4:30 p.m., March 24. Avoid common pitfalls when writing employee handbook and communicating policies to employees.

Each half-day workshop is $99/person. Workshops meet at the Sleep Inn & Suites Conference Center in Eau Claire.
