Musical Events
for the Week of Feb. 16

RELEASED: Feb. 9, 2009

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Feb. 16. All events are free and open to the public.

Feb. 18:

  • Senior Kyle Siegrist, Green Bay, will present a trombone recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Assisted on piano by Anne Kubiatowicz, Siegrist will begin with Richard Peaslee's "Arrows of Time," followed by Concerto in D Minor by Tomaso Albinoni and "El Alacran" by David Cutler. The second half of the recital will begin with Enrique Crespo's "Improvisation No. 1" and "Conversation" by Charles Small. The performance will conclude with "Canzon" by Samuel Scheidt.

Siegrist also will be assisted on trombone by senior Rachel Carter and sophomore Nichole Brellenthin, on bass trombone by seniors Andy Bader and Justin Verhasselt, and on percussion by senior Brian Claxton.
