UW-Eau Claire Parking Permits Now Available,
Fines to Increase Sept. 2

RELEASED: Aug. 20, 2009

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire parking permits are now available for the 2009-10 academic year.

University employees and commuter students may purchase permits at the Parking and Transportation Services office in Schneider Hall 106. Employees also have the option of submitting an online payroll deduction form. The deadline for submitting the form is Sept. 8. Permits already ordered online are now available for pickup at the Parking and Transportation Services office.

Winners of the residence hall lottery permits may pick up them up now. Permits must be picked up by Sept. 3. Forms are now available in the Parking and Transportation Services office for students wishing to apply for resident permits based on an educational or off-campus employment need.

Also, the following increases in parking ticket fines will be effective Sept. 2:

  • meter expired: $10
  • prohibited parking (fire lanes, no parking and snow removal zones): $30
  • improper parking (failure to head into stall, 15-minute zone violation, flashers required violation): $10
