Speaker to Discuss Puppy Mills and Proposed Legislation at UW-Eau Claire

RELEASED: April 24, 2009

EAU CLAIRE — Several students at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the Community Action and Lifelong Learning program will sponsor a presentation on puppy mills.

Eilene Ribbens, founder of the Wisconsin Puppy Mill Project, will speak about the negative effects of puppy mills and about legislation proposed to regulate the treatment of animals.

The event will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. May 7 in the Presidents Room of Davies Center at UW-Eau Claire. The event is free and open to the public.
