Registration Opens for Grant Writing Institute
RELEASED: April 21, 2009
EAU CLAIRE — Developing successful grant proposals is the focus of the 2009 Grant Writing Institute sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education.
Designed for people responsible for raising funds for nonprofit and for-profit organizations, the three-part series topics are:
- Building Your Case, June 25. This session provides information on creating the pieces needed to make a strong case for funding a project or idea.
- Finding Your Funders, July 13. This session provides practical tools to determine which funders most closely fit the needs of the project or idea, and how to build and maintain successful relationships with funders.
- Writing Your Proposal, Aug. 6. This session provides strategies and experience in writing specific elements of an effective proposal.
Each session combines lecture, active participation and hands-on activities. Participants are encouraged to bring their own proposals to use as class examples.
People can take one, two or all three sessions. Those completing all sessions will earn a grant writing certificate. Individual sessions are $109; the cost to register for all three sessions is $299. Lunch, program materials and refreshments are included.
