Clothing Drive, Bake Sale to Benefit Nicaraguan Women's Center

RELEASED: April 20, 2009

EAU CLAIRE — The Latin American Studies Club at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will hold a clothing drive and bake sale to benefit Casa de la Mujer, a women's center in Nicaragua.

LASC will accept gently used clothing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 27 through May 1 in the east lobby of Davies Center, near the University Service Center. The club is also collecting new bottles of multi-vitamins, lotions, cosmetics and other women's toiletries.

All proceeds from the bake sale also will go to the women's center.
