'Energy for a Sustainable Future' Topic of April 20 Panel Discussion

Sustainability imageEAU CLAIRE — An Earth Month panel discussion on "Energy for a Sustainable Future" will run from 5-6:30 p.m. April 20 in the Presidents Room of Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The campus and greater Eau Claire communities are invited to attend the discussion, which will focus on a range of sustainable energy technologies and opportunities.

Panelists include UW-Eau Claire faculty members Dr. Christina Hupy from the geography and anthropology department, Dr. Kim Pierson from the physics and astronomy department, and Lori Snyder from the geology department.

The energy panel discussion is one of a series of events hosted by UW-Eau Claire and a variety of community groups in celebration of Earth Month 2009. An Earth Day Celebration is planned for 11 a.m.-6 p.m. April 25 in Owen Park.
