EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire University Band, under the direction of Randal Dickerson, associate professor of music, will perform its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. April 21 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
The program will begin with "Gavorkna Fanfare" by Jack Stamp and Frank Ticheli's "Cajun Folk Songs," conducted by senior Mike Vallez, Burnsville, Minn. Next will be "A Hymn for the Lost and Living" by Eric Ewazen; "Clearwater Suite," written and conducted by senior Paul Saganski, Sun Prairie; and "Liturgical Dances" by David Holsinger. The University Band will conclude its performance with "His Honor" by Henry Fillmore.
Tickets, available at the University Service Center, 715-836-3727 or 800-949-UWEC, are $4 for the general public; $3 for those 62 and older, children 17 and younger and faculty and staff with a university ID; and free for students with a university ID.
