UW-Eau Claire Student Senate Elections to Be Held April 13-15

RELEASED: April 13, 2009

EAU CLAIRE — Elections for the 2009-10 president and vice president of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Student Senate, as well as 30 student senator positions, will begin April 13 and run through April 15.

UW-Eau Claire students may vote from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 13 in the university's Haas Fine Arts Center and Hilltop Center, and from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 14 and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 15 in the east lobby of Davies Center. Students must show their Blugold card to be eligible to vote.

Running for president and vice president, respectively, are Michael Umhoefer and Amber Bretl, Adam Sorelle and Casey Driscoll, and Aaron Brewster and Armon Tabrizi.

The presidential and vice presidential candidates participated in a debate April 8 in the Davies Theatre. The debate can be viewed online. Information about the presidential and vice presidential candidates also can be found in the April 9 issue of The Spectator.

Student voters also will select 12 on-campus senators and 18 off-campus senators for the next session of Student Senate. More information about the on-campus and off-campus senator candidates can be found in the April 9 issue of The Spectator, as well as on the Student Senate bulletin board found outside of Davies Center 132.
