Juried Student Art Show to Open April 22; Juror to Speak April 17

RELEASED: April 10, 2009

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's 52nd annual Juried Student Art Show will open with a reception from 7:30-9 p.m. April 22 in the Haas Fine Art Center's Foster Gallery.

Judging for the show will take place April 17. The juror for this year's show is John Garrett, a fibers/3-D artist from Albuquerque, N.M. He will give a lecture on his work from 10-11 a.m. April 17 in Room 101 of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Award and scholarship winners will be announced at the April 22 reception.

The selected works will be on display through May 10.

Foster Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 1-4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
