Worldwide Education Travel Tours Available for Adults

RELEASED: Sept. 29, 2008

EAU CLAIRE — Through a nationwide network of more than 300 institutions of higher education and their affiliated retirement groups, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Continuing Education, in partnership with TraveLearn, is providing quality educational tours for adults that span the globe.

On-site lectures, seminars and field experiences provided by faculty escorts and in-country specialists together with people-to-people contact will foster an insight and understanding of foreign cultures not available on more conventional tours, organizers say.

These learning vacations for adults will allow participants to learn firsthand about the history, art, culture and customs of the country visited. Each trip to 19 different destinations is a carefully planned "classroom-in-the-field" experience. Destinations include China, Egypt, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, Russia, Spain, Turkey and Vietnam. Escorted natural

history and ecotours also will provide insight into the cultures of Alaska, Antarctica, Belize, Costa Rica, Galapagos Islands and Ecuador, Kenya, Peru, and Tanzania. Departures to these worldwide destinations are schedule throughout the year.

Accommodations are first class, meals are included and groups are small. Groups average 14 participants and never more than 20, allowing for a close interaction among the participants and guides. Prices ranges vary (land only) and include meals, first-class accommodations and unique learning experiences.
