Study Abroad Fair Set for Oct. 8 at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students and faculty can find an abundance of information about the opportunities to experience life in countries such as the Czech Republic, Japan, Nicaragua and South Africa at the Study Abroad Fair.

The fair, which is sponsored by the Center for International Education, will be held from 3-5:30 p.m. Oct. 8 in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center. The event will showcase study abroad programs in nearly 50 countries.

Returned students from each of the programs will be available to answer questions. There also will be a financial aid representative at the fair to talk about financial aid for study abroad. A free application fee will be raffled off every 15 minutes and refreshments also will be provided.

Partners representing programs in Australia, Costa Rica/Nicaragua, England, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Ireland and Scotland, as well as the Global Student Teaching and ISEP-Direct programs, also will be at the Study Abroad Fair, said study abroad coordinator Cheryl Lochner-Wright,
