EAU CLAIRE — Atlanta-based indie musician Ryan Horne will play three free concerts at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Sept. 12-13. His shows in The Cabin, the Davies Center coffeehouse, will begin Friday at 11:30 a.m. and 8 p.m., and Saturday at 8 p.m.

Horne blends a folky Americana sound and wraps it up into a beautiful story, with introspective songwriting reminiscent of his self-proclaimed influences Ryan Adams and Martin Sexton. Horne's fourth independent album, "Love & War" (2007), was produced in Nashville by Grammy Award winner Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay and features some of Nashville's top musicians, including Andrew Osenga (Caedmon's Call), Andy Hubbard (Little Big Town), Andrea Zonn (James Taylor), Matt Slocum (Sixpence None the Richer) and Kenny Hutson (Vigilantes of Love).

Cabin performances are free and open to all ages. Soft drinks, domestic and imported beer, specialty coffee drinks and tea are sold at all evening programs. Proof of age is required for alcohol purchases.

All performances are produced and managed completely by student members of The Cabin committee of the Student Senate's University Activities Commission. For a complete schedule, contact the Activities and Programs office, 715-836-4833, or visit the Cabin Web site.
