UW-Eau Claire to Offer Workshops
for Supervisory Management Program

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension will present several workshops from the Supervisory Management Certificate program in November and December. Designed for managers, supervisors and small business owners, the workshops may be taken individually or as part of the certificate program requirements.

  • "Supervisory Management 2" will be held Nov. 6-7 in Eau Claire at Sweetwaters Restaurant. Topics will include establishing orientation policies and procedures, understanding communication behaviors, time management, delegating, and developing your employees.
  • "Supervisory Management 3" will be held Nov. 11-12 in La Crosse at the UW-La Crosse Cleary Alumni and Friends Center and Dec. 4-5 in Eau Claire at Sweetwaters Restaurant. Topics will include working toward more effective coaching, establishing job expectations, and critical skills in the coaching process.
  • "Building a Competent Workforce" will be held Nov. 19-20 in La Crosse at the UW-La Crosse Cleary Alumni and Friends Center. Topics will include how to set up one-to-one job instruction training for efficient task mastery, job documentation, training checklists, and how to adapt to various trainee learning styles.

All workshops meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Individual course fees are $425 per

person and include lunch, breaks, materials and instruction. The group fee is $375 per person for three to five people from the same firm attending the same session and registering at the same time. The series fee is $1,125 per individual registering for Supervisory Management 1, 2 and 3 at the same time.
