Symphonic Choir to Perform
in Gantner Concert Hall Nov. 23

sheet musicEAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Symphonic Choir will present a concert at 2 p.m. Nov. 23 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The choir will perform with the University Symphony Orchestra, directed by Nobuyoshi Yasuda, associate professor of music.

Alan Rieck, associate professor of music, will direct the ensemble as they open with "Te Deum, Opus 103" by Antonín Dvorak. The piece will feature solos by soprano Mitra Sadeghpour, associate professor of music, and baritone Robert Knight, professor of music.

The second half of the concert will feature Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Dona Nobis Pacem." Mitra Sadeghpour will be the featured soprano and Robert Knight will be the featured baritone for this piece.

Tickets, available at the University Service Center, 715-836-3727 or 800-949-UWEC, are $5 for the general public; $4 for those 62 and older, children 17 and younger and faculty and staff with a university ID; and $1.50 for students with a university ID.

Tickets for campus events also are on sale at the Service Center's ticket office in the main lobby of Haas Fine Arts Center. The ticket outlet is open from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is closed during holidays and academic breaks.
