SUBJECT: American Indian Studies Event
Hopi Kachina carvers and cultural experts Rapheal and Pauline Sarracino will visit UW-Eau Claire to talk with students and others on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
The couple will give a presentation on Kachina carving, Hopi and Jemez languages and American Indian cultures in the Southwest during two campus events.
A class presentation is slated from 1-2:15 p.m. in Room 101 of Haas Fine Arts Center.
The Sarracinos then will participate in an informal discussion from 2:30-4 p.m. in the American Indian Studies office in Room 150 of Hibbard Hall.
All members of the campus and Eau Claire communities are welcome at the events.
Reporters and photographers also are invited.
