Workshop Offered on Getting Big Results with Small Ad Budgets

EAU CLAIRE — Registrations are being accepted for the "Getting Big Results with Small Ad Budgets" workshop slated for 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at the 29 Pines/Sleep Inn & Suites Conference Center near Eau Claire.

Workshop participants will investigate how to stretch limited advertising dollars to create clear, enticing messages to prospective customers and how to create a solid marketing plan to get desired results. Tight budgets may require spending less and using creative strategies to achieve desired results.

The seminar is designed for key personnel who promote, advertise or perform public relations functions for a for-profit business or nonprofit agency. Small business owners and managers, sales and marketing professionals, graphic designers and business consultants will be able to immediately implement the practical ideas from the workshop in their businesses.

Dr. Chuck Tomkovick, professor of management and marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, will be the instructor. His advertising research has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Times, Advertising Age, Adweek, Fortune, Forbes and many other national media outlets, including broadcast affiliates of CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, WGN and National Public Radio. As a bonus, Tomkovick provides 60 minutes of free private business marketing consultations to each participant.

The $189 per person workshop cost includes instruction, materials, refreshments, lunch and Continuing Education Units. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Small Business Development Center and the Office of Continuing Education are the sponsors. The Small Business Development Center is a member of the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs' Network, a coalition of more than 100 partner organizations which provide access to services for small business throughout Wisconsin.
