Registration Open for 250 Noncredit Courses at UW-Eau Claire

RELEASED: Nov. 11, 2008

EAU CLAIRE — Registration is now open for more than 250 noncredit online courses and certificate programs through the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension.

Topics include Web design, graphics, multimedia and programming, basic computer literacy, career development, computer applications, graphic design, PC troubleshooting, networking and security, database management and programming, preparation for some certifications, photography and Photoshop, languages, writing and publishing, entertainment industry careers, grant writing and nonprofit management, starting your own business, QuickBooks, preparation for GED, SAT/ACT, GRE, GMAT and LSAT, personal development, personal finance and wealth building, health care, nutrition and fitness, child care and parenting, math, philosophy and science, law and legal careers, health care continuing education, courses for teaching professionals and art, history, psychology and literature. Most courses offer two-and-a-half CEUs, health care topics offer three CEUs.

The online courses are taught by qualified and expert instructors, many of whom are nationally known authors. They are highly interactive and include quizzes, assignments, demonstrations and exercises so students receive the practical, hands-on experience necessary to master new skills. Instructors pace students through the lessons and answer questions in a supportive community of learners. Most courses are six weeks in length with a two-week grace period. Geared toward adults, the courses are affordable and convenient.

Registrations received by Nov. 25 will be entered in a drawing for an iPod Touch from ed2go.
