The Hopefuls to Perform Nov. 14 at UW-Eau Claire

HopefulsEAU CLAIRE — The Hopefuls, an indie pop-emo band from Minneapolis, will perform in concert Nov. 14 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the show in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center.

The Hopefuls' mission statement is succinct: "Fun music for happy times." The group's sunny, feel-good rock can be heard on its full-length debut CD "The Fuses Refuse to Burn," and has been featured on the Fox-TV teen drama "The O.C." and on VH1's "Best Week Ever."

The Hopefuls are guitarist and vocalist Darren Jackson, bassist Heath Henjum, drummer Eric Fawcett and multi-instrumentalist John Hermanson.

Tickets are $3 for UW-Eau Claire students and $5 for everyone else at the Service Center in Davies Center's east lobby. Tickets also will be sold at the door. The show is open to all ages. Proof of age will be required for alcohol purchases.

The concert is sponsored by the University Activities Commission of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate.
