UW-Eau Claire Staff Recognized by Epilepsy Foundation

RELEASED: March 27, 2008

EAU CLAIRE — Three members of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's faculty and academic staff received Special Recognition Awards at the annual Epilepsy Foundation of Western Wisconsin Stars in Epilepsy Awards Ceremony.

The ceremony is designed to recognize the people who have gone above and beyond for others who struggle with epilepsy.

UW-Eau Claire award recipients were: Dr. Elaine Wendt, dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, who has served on the EFWW board of directors for the past two years; Barbara Enright, a nursing and health sciences outreach specialist in Continuing Education, who was instrumental in involving EFWW in the UW-Eau Claire's Strategic Planning Focus Group; and Provost Steven Tallant, who has pledged UW-Eau Claire's support for the 2008 Share the Flame candlelight dinner and silent auction. The proceeds from the event will benefit EFWW.
