EAU CLAIRE — The 2008 Early Birdie Golf Outing will take place May 9 at Princeton Valley Golf Course as part of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's annual Rec Fest.
Proceeds from the outing will support the Wisconsin Youth Sports Program, an award-winning program for boys and girls ages 10-16 that is held annually on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
Formerly known as the National Youth Sports Program, this will be the 27th year the program offered by University Recreation & Sport Facilities to provide area youth with an opportunity to learn sports skills and receive information about issues relating to drugs and alcohol, nutrition, careers and higher education.
The outing is for golfers of any skill level. The $25 per person fee includes nine holes, lunch, prizes and a t-shirt. Games will be held at each hole for a chance to win prizes.
Participants must register by noon on May 8 at the Hilltop Recreation Center on upper campus.
