Roundtable Discussion to Recall Time
of Two Assassinations in U.S. History

RELEASED: March 25, 2008

EAU CLAIRE — The Office of Multicultural Affairs and the history department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are sponsoring a roundtable discussion, "The World Gone Mad," from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, in Schofield Auditorium to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

UW-Eau Claire faculty members, including Dr. Robert Gough, Dr. Steven Gosch and Dr. Selika Ducksworth-Lawton of the history department and Dr. Obika Gray of the political science department, will give personal and historical perspectives on the events surrounding King's assassination, as well as the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy just two months later on June 5, 1968. The discussion will be followed by a question and answer period.

The presentation is free, and the public is invited.
