Jabali Afrika |
EAU CLAIRE — Jabali Afrika will return to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for a concert Wednesday, Feb. 6. The Black History Month performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Schofield Auditorium. Admission is free and open to all ages.
From Kenya, Jabali (Kiswahili for "rock") Afrika is a multifaceted group with a unique blend of fusion and African rhythms. Original compositions and traditional African melodies come alive on a wide variety of instruments, accompanied by vocal harmonies that form the foundation of modern rock, jazz, gospel and blues. The group's choreography and African tribal costumes make for a truly multicultural experience.
The concert is sponsored by the University Activities Commission of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate.
