Annual Senior Americans' Day Program
Set for March 18 at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE — The 20th Annual Senior Americans' Day program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, in Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The theme this year is "Celebrating 20 years of Being Positively Ageless."

The Rev. John Heagle, co-founder and co-director of Therapy and Renewal Associates in the Pacific Northwest and former pastor of St. Patrick's Parish in Eau Claire, will open the 20th Anniversary event with his inspirational keynote "Life to the Full."

The program also features singer Gary Polden and the Eau Claire Male Chorus. Participants can visit exhibit halls and choose from over 40 workshops on topics ranging from computers to healthcare, nature to spirituality, history, genealogy, books, dance and exercise. The cost of the program is $26 per person and includes materials, continental breakfast and lunch. Several breakout session choices have an additional material fee.

Senior Americans' Day is sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension in cooperation with UCare, Grace Lutheran Foundation, St. Francis Apartments, AgeAdvantAge, Inc., Community Health Partnership, Inc., Eau Claire County Department on Aging & Resource Center and Sacred Heart Hospital Center for Healthy Living. The day is planned by community representatives committed to the interests of older adults.
