The I-Q Corridor, an area of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology stretching from the Twin Cities to Chicago, offers the potential for economic growth to communities located along this axis. He also will discuss how the region may be positioned to capitalize on the growth of biofuels, such as cellulosic ethanol.
Ward, a Wisconsin native, is the president and founder of NorthStar Economics. Ward and his associates have served a variety of clients in the public and private sectors. Their areas of expertise include economic impact studies, strategic economic development, angel investing, workforce development, rural economic development, feasibility studies and forensic economics. Prior to founding NorthStar Economics, Ward held various academic and administrative positions at UW-Green Bay, UW-Oshkosh and UW System, where he was the senior vice president for academic affairs. He has a Ph.D. in finance from UW-Madison.
