EAU CLAIRE — The Women's and Gender Equity Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host a Multicultural Depression Reading Discussion from 4-5 p.m. Feb. 27 in the WAGE Center, Room 30, on Schofield Hall's lower level.
Dr. Roberta Goodman of UW-Eau Claire's Counseling Services will lead a discussion on three journal articles that focus on special issues regarding depression in African-American, Asian-American and Mexican-American women. The articles are available online.
Members of the campus community and the general public are invited to read the articles and take part in the discussion.
Goodman earned her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Her interests included depression, grief/loss, anxiety, relationships, family dynamics and self-esteem. She serves as the Counseling Services' multicultural liaison.
