SUBJECT: Forum for high school students and their parents
A campus-community forum this month will give education leaders a chance to talk with teenagers and their parents about how students can prepare to successfully transition from high school to college.
"Preparedness for Successful Transition to the University" will run from 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 20 in the Two Rivers Ballroom at the Plaza Hotel in Eau Claire.
Several education leaders from the Chippewa Valley and the state will share information about how students can prepare for college and what will be expected of them. They also will answer questions from the audience.
Forum presenters will include administrators and faculty from UW-Eau Claire and the UW System, as well as a representative of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Dr. Don Christian, dean of UW-Eau Claire's College of Arts and Sciences, is available to talk with the media about the forum.
