Internship Mania at UW-Eau Claire Aims
to Match Employers with Interns

RELEASED: Feb. 1, 2008

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students will explore internship opportunities and gather employment tips during Internship Mania 2008.

The free event will run from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 6 in Davies Center. About 100 organizations, businesses and agencies and 2,000 candidates are expected to attend. To accommodate its increasing size, the event has expanded to use the Spruce-Tamarack and Council Fire rooms this year.

Employers from the Chippewa Valley and other parts of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Iowa will be at the event. Recruiters will field questions about their companies, accept resumes for internship opportunities and share information about their industries.

Internship Mania also will include preparation events such as resume reviews, mock interviews, "Tailored for Success" critiques of appearance and business etiquette, an employer research day and an early morning breakfast social. For times and locations, visit the Web site.

The event is sponsored by UW-Eau Claire Student Organizations and Career Services. Monetary sponsors include Deloitte, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network: The Bohannon Group, Kohl's Department Store, Virchow, Krause & Company, LLP and Macy's.
