RELEASED: Dec. 1, 2008

EAU CLAIRE — Five students who are candidates for University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire bachelor of fine arts degrees will display their work in a senior BFA art show titled "Which Way from Here," Dec. 6-14, in the Foster Gallery of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

The public is invited to the opening reception from 1-3 p.m. Dec. 6.

The studio art exhibit will include drawings, digital photography and large-scale installations. The graphic design exhibit will include posters, packaging, brochures, book designs, logos and other pieces. All pieces featured in the exhibit are from the final semester portfolios of the artists.

Kerri Kiernan, Seymour, will display photographs taken in the Eau Claire area.

"In this series, I use the immersion of a female form into manipulated environments to create feelings of connection, detachment and self-reflection," Kiernan said.

Lara Jones, Madison, will exhibit various printed media pieces that she said have been influenced by her family and the people around her.

Other exhibitors include Sarah Hicks, De Pere, Benjamin Schram, Alma Center, and Kristina Starr, Chippewa Falls.

Foster Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and Thursdays evenings from 6-8 p.m.
