Musical Event
for the Week of Sept. 8

RELEASED: Aug. 29, 2008

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performance the week beginning Monday, Sept. 8. The event is free and open to the public.

Sunday, Sept. 14:

  • Dr. Verle Ormsby Jr., senior lecturer of music, will perform a faculty horn recital at 2 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The concert will include Franz Strauss' Fantasie on a Theme by Schubert, Op. 2, and, Carl Reinecke's Trio in B flat, Op. 274. Ormsby will be assisted by Dr. Richard Fletcher, professor of music and theatre arts, on clarinet and community member Judy Lies on piano.
