Musical Events
for the Week of Sept. 1

RELEASED: Aug. 26, 2008

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performance the week beginning Monday, Sept. 1. The event is free and open to the public.

Sunday, Sept. 7:

  • Dr. Phillip Ostrander, associate professor of music, on tenor and alto trombone, with Dr. Barbara Young, music lecturer, on piano, will perform a faculty recital at 2 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The concert will include works by Jiri Pauer, William Goldstein, David Cutler, William Hoskins and Dan Aldag. Ostrander and Young will be assisted by Dr. Jeffery Crowell, associate professor of music, and UW-Eau Claire student Brian Claxton on percussion.
