Four UW-Eau Claire Freshmen
Awarded Rath Foundation Scholarships

EAU CLAIRE — Four students who will attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire this fall have received Rath Foundation Scholarships for the 2008-09 academic year. The scholarships, intended to attract and retain highly qualified students, cover a full year of tuition and academic fees.

Receiving Rath Foundation Scholarships are Ashley Umlauf, New Richmond, daughter of Bill and Marsha Umlauf; Kaitlyn Beaty, Milton, daughter of Elizabeth Drew and Dale Beaty; Bethany Matula, Kimberly, daughter of Chris and Suzanne Matula; and Benjamin Krentz, Weston, son of Jeff and Rita Krentz.

The Rath Foundation awards the scholarships to new freshmen at UW-Eau Claire intending to major in the College of Arts and Sciences or the College of Business. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, national test scores, and school and community leadership and service. The scholarship funds are renewable for up to four years.
