Minnesota Student Awarded Accounting
Scholarship at UW-Eau Claire

RELEASED: Aug. 5, 2008

EAU CLAIRE — Kristine O'Brien, Lake City, Minn., has been awarded a Carl and Eloise Pohlad Scholarship for the 2008-09 academic year. O'Brien will begin her studies at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire this fall.

The scholarship, funded through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, is given to an incoming full-time freshman from Minnesota who intends to major in accounting and work in the profession after graduation. Recipients are chosen on the basis of academic achievement, class rank and entrance examination test scores.

O'Brien is the daughter of Mary O'Brien.
