UW-Eau Claire's Department of Information Systems Awards Departmental Scholarships to 12 Students

RELEASED: Aug. 1, 2008

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's information systems department in the College of Business has announced its scholarship recipients for the 2008-09 academic year.

Senior Travis Krause, an IS major from Edgar, and Yan Lam, a senior systems development major from Hong Kong, each received a $600 3M Information Systems Scholarship.

Tyler Patterson, a senior systems development major from Prior Lake, Minn., received a $500 Cargill Information Systems Fund Scholarship.

Junior Corey Hartman, a development major from Amery, was awarded a $1,000 Federated Insurance Information Systems Scholarship.

Senior Rebecca Brandt, a senior business analysis major from Osceola, received a $2,000 Germonprez Family Scholarship, and Natalie Warnert, a junior systems development major from Sauk Rapids, Minn., received a $1,000 Germonprez Family Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to outstanding women majoring in information systems.

Junior business analysis major Michael Conlin, Maple Grove, Minn., was awarded a $750 Information Systems Fund Scholarship.

Five information systems students received St. Paul Travelers Scholarships, with amounts ranging from $500-$1000. The students include Benjamin Anderson, a senior IS major from White Bear Lake, Minn.; Kristin Bomber, a senior systems business analysis major from Eau Claire; Joshua Hebard, a senior systems development major from Ladysmith; James Paulus, a junior business analysis major from Little Canada, Minn.; and Bryant Seppelt, a junior business analysis major from Foley, Minn.
